This beautiful archeological site surrounded by greenery hosts one of the best preserved theaters from the ancient world, with formidable acoustics: the actors can be perfectly heard by the 15,000 spectators, and you can even hear the sounds of a coin falling down! The theater is home to concerts and plays today again, during the summer Athens and Epidavros Festival. The site also contains the remains of the sanctuary of Asclepius, the god of medicine and a nice little museum.  You can visit this site in combination with other sites of the Peloponnese such as the canal of Corinth, Mycenae and the town of Nafplio.
